The Next Room is a curated platform, where a selection of production companies working in virtual reality and immersive technologies showcase their work and share their latest developments in short 20 minutes talks. That way, Ciclope Festival’s attendees (including marketers, agencies and production companies from all over the world) experience first-hand how VR is opening up new possilibilities for the industry. The first edition of the Next Room took place in Kino International, during CICLOPE Festival, on November 5 & 6, 2015. During the event, nine companies introduced their latest projects: WeMakeVR, The Mill, Nozon, UNIT9, Tool of North America, Bullitt, Framestore, Stinkdigital, and Here Be Dragons (formerly known as The Mill and Bullitt presented their collaboration with Google ATAP and director Justin Lin for “Help”; Nozon introduced its new technology PresenZ; Framestore detailed “Trailscape”, its work for Merrell; Tool of NA talked about Infiniti’s “The dream road”; Stinkdigital shared insight into its recent work providing virtual tours; WeMakeVR talked about the realisation of Tommy Hilfiger’s “Runway of the Future” and UNIT9 revealed its innovative VR works, including The Pretender Project, an amazing development that allows individuals to step into another person’s body.
