Emerging from an eclectic musical background, and with a long list of credits to his name that feature a wide dramatic and musical palette, Juan Carlos is both a sonic chameleon and a musical artisan with a distinct musical point of view.
His work, contributions and collaborations with some of Hollywood’s most in demand composers such as Brian Tyler (AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON, IRON MAN 3), Pedro Bromfman (NARCOS), H. Scott Salinas (CARTEL LAND) and Roque Baños (IN THE HEART OF THE SEA) can be heard in numerous film and TV projects including FATE OF THE FURIOUS and FURIOUS 7 (Universal Pictures), xXx: RETURN OF XANDER CAGE (Paramount Pictures), NARCOS (Netflix), ZIPPER (produced by Darren Aronofsky), MATADOR (produced by Robert Rodriguez and Roberto Orci), THE IVORY GAME (Netflix, produced by Leonardo DiCaprio), BENDING THE ARC (Produced by Ben Affleck, Matt Damon and Damon Lindelof), and WHAT HAPPENED TO MONDAY (Netflix, directed by Tommy Wirkola with Glenn Close, Noomi Rapace y Willem Dafoe), THE STORY OF US WITH MORGAN FREEMAN (NatGeo), and THE COMMUTER (Lionsgate, with Liam Neeson, Sam Neill, and Patrick Wilson, directed by Jaume Collet-Serra), LETHAL WEAPON (FOX, with Damon Wayans), and MAGNUM P.I. His most recent project is the Mexican feature length film NI TÚ NI YO, a comedy directed by Noé Santillán-Lopez with distribution of Corazón Films that will premiere in October 2018 and the music for the immersive theme park attraction FLY OVER MEXICO, which will be part of AMIKOO, Latin America’s biggest theme park, to be constructed in the Mayan Riviera in 2018.
He currently lives and works in Los Angeles, CA, US.
