Rafael Pitanguy, 33 years old, was born in Rio de Janeiro and graduated in Advertising and Marketing from PUC and in Portuguese Literature from UERJ.
After working in agencies such as Doctor Publicidade, Script Comunicacao and Giovanni, FCB, in 2006 he came to Sao Paulo to work at Agencia Africa and then moved to Lisbon where he spent almost two years at Fischer Portugal.
In 2009 Rafael returned to Brazil to work at Lew’Lara/TBWA and in 2010 returned to Africa, where after some time he became a Creative Director. He is currently responsible for 3 of the World Cup’s sponsors accounts: Vivo, Brahma and Budweiser (he’s also responsible for Mitsubishi Motors in Brazil).
Among other awards he has won Cannes Lions in categories such as print, outdoor, mobile, media and radio, and also several medals at Sao Paulo, Rio de Janeiro and Portugal Creative Clubs, Art Directors and One Show. Besides that, in 2011 he won a Jay Chiat Awards and was the copywriter with most works published in Archive magazine in 2012
