Ran has almost 15 years of experience in TV production, and is distinguished as one of a select handful of locally raised producers in China’s 4A advertising industry. Endowed with an international perspective and a tireless spirit for the pursuit of creativity and technological innovation, Ran has produced countless commercials over the past 10+ years that are immediately recognizable in any household, among which are winners of international and domestic awards from Cannes Lions, LIA, One Show, Clio, Effie, Longxi, Spikes Asia and 4A China Golden Seal Award.

In 2003, Ran joined Saatchi & Saatchi Shanghai as a TV producer, starting from production assistant and working his way up to Head of TV Production. He has now produced over 300 film projects on behalf of Saatchi & Saatchi. The main clients he has served include Volkswagen, Buick, Lexus, Citroën DS, Olay, Safeguard, Chivas Regal, Mondelēz International, Coca-Cola, Tsingtao Beer, Budweiser, Nippon Paint, Siemens, Huawei, CCTV and more.

In 2008, Ran was part of the team produced an ad for Nippon Paint, My Inspiration My Nippon, which was awarded Gold at that year’s Effie APAC Awards, the first time for China to take home a Gold Effie.

In 2010, Ran pioneered a new path for the industry, establishing an internal creative content department for Saatchi & Saatchi, effectively improving the efficiency of team cooperation and allowing for better creative works.

In 2011, Ran and team’s another work – Prince’s Happy Adventure, an ad Saatchi & Saatchi created on behalf of Mondelez Prince won a Bronze Lion in the Media category at the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity. It was the first Cannes Media Lions brought back to China, as well as the first Silver Effie.

In 2013, Ran became the first producer from a 4A Advertising Agency to cooperate with CCTV to produce a public service advertisement. The ad, Takeaway, won innumerable top industry awards, and was distinguished as the only Film Lion from Greater China at Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity that year.
