Paula Lima is a singer of history in Brazilian music. With a remarkable voice, she owns five praised solo albums that toured the country and toured Japan, USA (Miami), Portugal, Tunisia, South Africa and Angola. She completed 20 years of solo career in 2021. Nominated for the Latin Grammy, Paula is one of the greatest references of samba funk, and currently also stands out as a presenter and columnist.
She was a columnist for Carnaval da Globo from 2012 to 2015. She starred in the musicals Cats, Samba and Suor Brasileiro (Cia Estúdio 3), Brasilis (Turma da Mônica) and was alongside Elba Ramalho, Margareth Menezes and Daniela Mercury in the show Mulheres do Brasil Cantam Chico Buarque. She also shared the stage with Emicida, Milton Nascimento, Jorge Benjor and Seu Jorge.
She is an ambassador of the campaign Break your silence, you are not alone! along with the #SomosTodasMariadaPenha hashtag.
She is the director of the Brazilian Union of Composers and interviewed names such as Djavan and Ney Matogrosso and is a host of the program Chocolate Quente, awarded an APCA by Radio Eldorado. She is also a columnist for Site RG.
Paula through art also uses her voice to talk about social issues and human rights.
