Lope Serrano is a director and co-founder of the production company CANADA

Commissioned to create a piece celebrating Spanish talent in the Spanish audiovisual sector, Serrano wrote – along with Santi Ruffa and David Silis – and directed The Cause of the Accident that Caused the Fire, a short film starring Berta Prieto and Bárbara Lennie, among others, winner of international awards at numerous advertising festivals (D&AD, Shots, CICLOPE, and Cannes, among others). 

Other highlights of his filmography include Crème Caramel, a fashion film that solidified CANADA’s position as a cultural force, and Sound and Vision, a tribute to David Bowie. He has also worked on commercials for Longchamp and Miu Miu

Serrano has directed several notable music videos, including The Less I Know The Better for Tame Impala, winner of the Jury Prize at SXSW, and Physical and Love Again for Dua Lipa, both multi-award-winning. His internationally acclaimed style has attracted a wide range of clients, including H&M, Expedia, Instagram, Budweiser, and Louis Vuitton

His most recent work, Hornback – No Project Without Drama, released in August 2025, won six Gold awards and a Grand Prix at CICLOPE Berlin, and earned him Best Director of the Year at Shots EMEA in London.
