about the speaker
Igor de Castro, a communications and marketing executive with over three years of experience at the HEINEKEN Group, has just taken on the role of Director of Communication and Branding for the Heineken® brand in Brazil. He now fills the position previously held by Beatrice Jordão, who recently moved into a role on the company’s global team.
Igor takes on this new challenge after leading the company’s portfolio of other premium beers, including brands such as Eisenbahn and SOL. He now returns to the Heineken® brand, where he will continue to work under the leadership of Eduardo Picarelli, Senior Director of the Heineken® Business Unit.
His work at the Group includes notable achievements in recent years. In 2022 and 2023, he led the growth of Heineken 0.0 in Brazil as Senior Marketing Manager. In 2024, during his time in California, he served as Marketing Director for the Lagunitas brand, leading campaigns and strategic initiatives aimed at strengthening the brand.
Igor says: “Taking on the leadership of Communication and Branding for such an iconic brand as Heineken Brazil, which welcomed me from the very beginning, is undoubtedly one of the most special moments of my career. I’m very excited about this new challenge and the opportunity to further strengthen the brand’s connection with Brazilians in a relevant, creative, and culturally impactful way. This moment is the result of a great deal of dedication, effort, and, above all, a team that believes in the power of branding to transform realities and generate meaningful dialogue with consumers”.
