As a passionate cinephile, Sofía Garmilla Veyan endeavored to refine her skills through various programs at the Centro de Capacitación Cinematográfica (CCC) and Centro Universitario de Estudios Cinematográficos (CUEC), two renowned institutions in Mexico. She began her journey in advertising production in 2010. Throughout her career, Sofia had the privilege of producing campaigns with prominent directors for some of the world’s largest brands, recognized and awarded at prestigious festivals such as D&AD, One Show, Cannes Festival, Ojo de Iberoamérica, CICLOPE, among others.
In 2022, Iconoclast, one of the world’s foremost companies, invited her to establish and lead as the Executive Production Head of their office in Mexico. As a producer, her commitment extends beyond project execution; she dedicates herself to contributing to Mexico being acknowledged as a reference in high-level productions. Sofia takes pleasure in showcasing the creativity of their industry and gaining recognition as a highly prepared professional community.
Sofia’s goal is not only to meet international standards in advertising production but to elevate them. She aspires for collaborative work to be a memorable experience, where their shared passion for cinema and the camaraderie of the crew unites Mexico’s industry.
